In 2011 Steven Van Broeckhoven was crowned as freestyle world champion.

This once shy Belgium kid had a big dream to one day become the best in the world. He learned his first moves on the Belgium coast and afterwards decided to go train in Bonaire. It did not take long before he showed his talent to the world. He was 100% focused on his passion, windsurfing. After countless hours of hard training, his moves became more clean and his jumps super high. In 2011 Steven Van Broeckhoven was crowned as World champion in freestyle windsurfing PWA – Professional Windsurfers Association. He repeated this huge success in 2010 and became 4th in the world. He was ready to achieve more! In 2011 Steven van Broeckhove became the PWA world freestyle windsurfing champion! Despite his huge success he still likes to travel and sleep in his van.
